I was born in Orlando, Florida but was raised in Bartow, Florida. Both of my parents are deaf, so I am fluent in American Sign Language as well as English. I speak enough Spanish to know when someone is making fun of me :-).
I played baseball and basketball at Bartow High School where I graduated in 2007. I then went on to attend Vanderbilt University to play baseball. After my junior year of college, I transferred to Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. After my junior season at Rollins College, I transferred back to Vanderbilt University where I then graduated in 2011 with my Bachelor’s Degree. After graduation, I returned home and started a family. I currently have 3 daughters (aged 11, 8, and 4) and 1 son (aged 3).
After graduation, I worked in insurance for about a year. I then became a licensed mortgage loan originator. In January of 2016, I opened my own office: Roost Lending. To be successful in mortgages, you must understand mortgage financing, appraisals, title work and the real estate process in general. So my background in mortgage financing allows me to give customers construction advice that considers the mortgage implications.
